Q. Are your house kits owner builder friendly?

A. Yes! After a visit to our showroom you will see just how easy it is to owner build your dream home. Let us show you how! We have displays showing "HOW TO" for floor kits and frames and trusses, through to completed homes.

Q. Can you supply a floor kit?

A. Yes! At Oz Kit Homes, we supply a choice of two complete floor systems. Using either H2 treated timber or steel bearers and joists for the house area, and hardwood joists for all deck areas. The systems are complete with all fixings and glues necessary for assembly and installation. We supply steel piers to suit your block for either system.

Q. Do you supply fixings?

A. Yes! At Oz Kit Homes, we supply all fixings necessary for the assembly of the floor and lock-up kits.

Q. Are your plans easily modified?

A. Yes! At Oz Kit Homes, we will modify your plans to suit your site, aspect and personal needs. What is the cost of modifications? It varies, generally if the overall size remains the same, and the number of windows and doors is the same, then the price will be unchanged.

Q. Can I have different roof lines on different models?

A. Yes! At Oz Kit Homes, we are able to mix and match roof lines from different models. Examples are gable, hip, dutch gable, eaves of your choice and verandahs to suit.

Q. Can I build on a slab?

A. Yes! At Oz Kit Homes, all our designs can be supplied to suit slab construction.

Q. My block is steep, can you supply a split-level kit home?

A. Yes! At Oz Kit Homes, we have supplied a number of modified split-level homes, with our timber or steel floor systems making construction straight forward.

Q. What does delivery cost?

A. At Oz Kit Homes, we use our own crane- truck for deliveries, the 1st 100 klms is free, and quotes are available for outer areas. We can arrange transport anywhere within 1200 klms of our factory at Tea Gardens NSW (On the north shore of Port Stephens.)

Q. Can I pay for my kit in stages as I build it?

A. Yes! At Oz Kit Homes, we will make every effort to arrange delivery of your home to suit your construction schedule. When we prepare a written quote for your house, we attach a payments schedule to suit your plans.

Q. Do I have to pay for a quote?

A. No! At Oz Kit Homes, we prepare written quotes at no charge.

Q. Will you submit my plans to council for me?

A. Yes. Oz Kit Homes provide plans and specifications ready for council submission. We also provide energy rating Basix certificates (NSW), and standard engineers details for footings and floor systems. Wind rating and tie-down certificates are also provided. We also submit your plans to council on your behalf to DA and CC stage (NSW).

Q. Do you upgrade for cyclone areas?

A. Some of our designs can be upgraded for cyclones. Please contact Oz Kit Homes for this information, if cyclones are an issue.

Q. My block is in a bushfire zone, can you help with council requirements?

A. Yes! All of our designs, here at Oz Kit Homes, can be supplied to comply with bushfire regulations. Our standard supply complies with level 2 requirements in NSW and can be upgraded to level 3 at extra cost if required.

Q. Can I delete items from the Oz Kit Homes materials list?

A. Yes! Talk to us about a quote.

Q. Can I vary ceiling height?

A. Yes! At Oz Kit Homes, we can supply ceilings at 2.4 m to 3 m in any home, and in steel or timber.

Q. Will you quote my design?

A. Most of the time we will. Our staff at Oz Kit Homes will have a look and let you know if it is feasible.

Q. Do you supply site diagrams?

A. Yes! At Oz Kit Homes, every set of working drawings includes a site diagram.
